My Approach

I set out to design Idle Finance’s site to reflect its position as a trustworthy, powerful tool for automated yield optimization. The visual language needed to feel secure yet cutting-edge, while clearly explaining complex DeFi mechanisms like Best Yield vaults and risk-adjusted tranches.

Vision and Innovation

Idle’s vision is to simplify DeFi by offering a smart, automated path to earning passive income across protocols like Aave and Compound. The platform needed a user experience that balanced innovation with transparency and ease of use.

Identifying Unique Challenges

Explaining highly technical concepts to a mixed audience was the core challenge. Yield strategies, DAO governance, and smart contract audits needed to be digestible. The site also had to serve different users—from individuals to institutions and developers—without clutter or confusion.

Resolving Complex Problems

I implemented a tiered content structure that introduces core features first, then invites deeper exploration. Modular page design made the site scalable, while clean UI elements like strategy toggles and charts made complex data visual. Visual trust cues like audit badges and bug bounty banners helped reinforce security.
